I am Rahul Yadav, currently serving as a tenure-track Assoc Prof at Harbin Engineering University. Prior to joining the Computer School at Harbin Engineering University, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Pengcheng Laboratory, Shenzhen, focusing on research related to Edge Computing, Digital Twins, Drone Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and AI for industrial edge computing. I completed my PhD in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology. My research has been recognized and supported by various funding agencies, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities.
In my scientific research career, I am dedicated to conducting high-level work that is both academically rigorous and practically significant. I have published numerous papers in prestigious journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Vehicle Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Sensors Journal, and others. These publications include works where I served as the first author, corresponding author, and co-author.
As of Jan 2025, my Google academic citations have exceeded 1150, with an h-index of 18 and an i10 index of 19, showcasing the impact and influence of my research in the academic community. At our laboratory, we have ample funding and equipped infrastructure to support students in engaging in research that requires substantial computing power. Moving forward, I am actively seeking graduate students or undergraduates who are interested in research areas such as AI for edge computing, Digital Twins, IIoT, Internet of Things, Efficient Energy Management, Cloud/Fog/Edge Computing, Vehicular Edge Computing, and Resource Optimization. Priority will be given to students interested in publishing papers in these domains.
Prospective students are expected to be proficient in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++. As a collaborative supervisor, I currently guide five master's students from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 levels. I am enthusiastic about engaging in research discussions with students and providing personal guidance on pursuing doctoral degrees, reading and writing papers, and other research-related activities. Outstanding students may receive recommendations for further studies at renowned institutions such as Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen, Pengcheng Laboratory, Zhijiang Laboratory, as well as universities in Hong Kong, Macau, the UK, Spain, and other regions.
