Faculty Profile

Lu Wang, Ph.D. in Engineering, is an Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor. She has been selected for the National-Level Young Talent Program, recognized as a High-Level Talent of Heilongjiang Province, a Reserve Leader of the Leading Talent Team in Heilongjiang Province, and serves as the Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory for International Cooperation. She is a member of IEEE, IEICE, and CCF, and holds various roles, including Executive Committee Member of the CCF Ubiquitous Computing Committee and the CCF Collaborative Computing Committee, Board Member of the Provincial Artificial Intelligence Society, and Executive Committee Member of the Provincial IoT Technical Committee. 

Before joining HEU, she worked as a research assistant at Osaka University and later as an assistant professor at Keio University. Her research focuses on multimodal intelligent information perception and remote sensing image interpretation, where she has made significant contributions in recent years. She has published 46 SCI/EI-indexed academic papers, 33 of which are first-authored, delivered over 24 academic presentations at international conferences, led 11 research projects as the principal investigator, and participated in 6 additional projects. Her achievements have been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the IEICE Excellent Research Award, Best Paper Awards at the 2023 IoTCIT, 2024 COA, and 2024 ChineseCSCW conferences, as well as the Outstanding Supervisor Award at the 2023 Research Electronics Competition. Additionally, she has actively contributed to academic organization by serving as Chair of the MSN 2020 Workshop, 2023 IoTCIT Workshop, 2023 ChineseCSCW Competition Conference, 2024 IEEE COA Subcommittee, and 2024 IoTCIT Workshop. She is currently an Editorial Board Member for AJRS and CST journals, a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, WCNC, and other major international conferences, and a reviewer for prominent journals such as IEEE TNSE, IEEE TVT, IEEE TGRS, and IEEE WCL.
