Wu Keming, Ph.D. Currently an Associate Professor (Tenure-Track), Master's Supervisor and Prospective Doctoral Supervisor with the Underwater Target Vibration, Noise and Control Research Group, College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. His research focuses on electroacoustic coupling devices. By leveraging electromechanical coupling principles, he designs tailored acoustic impedance boundaries for noise control applications including fan noise, duct noise, aerodynamic noise and thermoacoustic stability. His ongoing research interests cover flow control of underwater vehicles, prediction and control of hydrodynamic noise, as well as flow-induced vibration and noise control. Prior to joining the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering, Harbin Engineering University, he worked as a Lead Designer at the Institute of Magnetic Levitation and Electromagnetic Propulsion, 3rd Technology Academy of CASIC, where he took overall charge of noise control design and measurement. In the past five years, he has presided over or participated in more than 10 research projects including programs supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Basic Research Program of China. He has obtained over 10 authorized/pending invention patents, and published more than 10 papers in leading international journals on acoustics, mechanics and physics, such as Journal of Sound and Vibration, International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, Communications Physics, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, Chinese Journal of Aeronautics, and Physics of Fluids. He also serves as a peer reviewer for journals including Nonlinear Dynamics, Journal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration & Active Control, Applied Acoustics and Physics of Fluids, etc.
