Yukun Chen, Ph.D. in Engineering, is an Associate Professor at the College of Power and Energy Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. His main research areas include structural dynamics and acoustics, vibration and noise control of ship power plants, etc. He has been selected for the National Postdoctoral Innovative Talent Support Program ("Boxin Plan") and is a recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award from the Acoustical Society of China. He is a member of the National Huang Danian Teachers Team, the National Key Laboratory of Marine Thermal Power Engineering, the Heilongjiang Provincial Young Scientific and Technological Talents Team, and the Heilongjiang Provincial Outstanding Graduate Supervisor Team. He has published over 40 papers in authoritative international journals in the field of acoustics and vibration, such as Journal of Sound and Vibration, Composites Part B: Engineering, and Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing. He has undertaken more than 10 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scholars, national major/key projects, national basic research projects under the 14th Five-Year Plan, the National Postdoctoral Researchers Funding Program, and provincial postdoctoral projects. His awards include the Heilongjiang Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement First Prize, Heilongjiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, China Shipbuilding Engineering Society Science and Technology Progress First Prize, China State Shipbuilding Corporation Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, Harbin Engineering University Undergraduate Teaching Achievement Special Prize, Graduate Teaching Achievement Second Prize, and Outstanding Communist Party Member honors. He serves as a Guest Editor for the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering, a session chair for the International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (ASME-IMECE2024), a senior member of the China Shipbuilding Engineering Society, a review expert for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and a reviewer for multiple international journals in the field of acoustics and vibration.
