He Haonan, male, Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor at Harbin Engineering University.
From June 2013 to June 2019, he completed his Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees at Harbin Institute of Technology. During this period, he was sponsored under a joint-training program to study at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. As a graduate student, he twice received the National Scholarship, and was awarded the honors of Outstanding Master's Thesis of Heilongjiang Province and Outstanding Master's Thesis (Gold Award) of Harbin Institute of Technology.
From September 2019 to August 2023, he pursued his Ph.D. at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). After completing his doctorate, he worked as a Research Associate at the University of Bristol.
In January 2025, he joined Harbin Engineering University. His primary research interests include structural dynamics and active/passive vibration control. He has published 7 SCI-indexed journal papers (classified as CAS Zones 1 and 2) as the first author, including 4 TOP-tier journals. He also received the Best Presentation Award at the ICANDVC international conference.
He currently leads 4 research projects, including a National Foreign Expert Program project, a Hainan Provincial Natural Science Foundation project, and projects funded by the Central University Basic Research Fund. He has also participated in multiple European research projects, in collaboration with organizations such as Network Rail (UK railway infrastructure operator), Tenneco (European automotive parts supplier), and the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
